The Lénablou Center of Dance and Choreographic Studies (CDEC), created in 1990 is located in the “Assainissement” district at Pointe-à-Pitre in Guadeloupe. It is today a benchmark in the art of dance training because of its rigour, the quality and the results of its teaching. Indeed, four of its pupils have integrated prestigious international schools (the National Academy of Paris, Rudra Béjart Ballet Lausanne and Ailey School in New York).

The CDEC is a true resources point which never cease to impel ambitious projects in order to develop dance in Guadeloupe and to make it radiate abroad. One can quote:

  • “Danser en Commune”: awareness campaign towards dance in rural environment between 1998 and 2000.
  • “Trois Chemins de la danse” in 2004: conference on the emergence of the Caribbean contemporary dance with artists invited from Venezuela, Dominican Republic, Haiti, Trinidad & Tobago, French Guyana, Martinique, France, Guadeloupe. The conference was followed by master-class and showcases.
  • “Ciné-Dance” (since 2008) which has as an ambition to democratise dance while allowing amateurs and initiates to understand various esthetics in dance.

Lastly, the CDEC underlies an artistic role but prolongs its intentions in the social measure, where the references which indicate the construction of a being are present and make CDEC a school of life.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
